Computational Designer
Paniz Farrokhsiar is a computational designer and researcher working on the intersection of architecture and technology. Her work ranges from developing digital tools for architects to conducting research schemes through design-build projects. As a computational designer at iBUILT, Paniz currently is in charge of co-developing the code-base of customer-facing generative design software.
With a body of work that encompasses the entire digital design workflow, Paniz has collaborated in multi-disciplinary design teams focusing on the research, development, and fabrication of architectural products of various scales, from prototypes of urban furniture to pavilions. As one of the founders of ADAPt - a young research group based in Iran- Paniz won the Architizer A+Awards in both jury and popular choice awards 2017 for the FaBRICKate project.
Paniz holds a Master of Computational Design in Architecture from Pennsylvania State University, where she developed and collaborated in multiple research projects and publications.
